WELCOME TO CASA PORTUGUESA DO PASTEL DE BACALHAU

Under the motto “It is the voice of the land yearning for the sea”, from the poem D. Dinis by Fernando Pessoa, and paying tribute to the shepherds of Serra da Estrela, the very first Casa Portuguesa do Pastel de Bacalhau opened in 2015 on Rua Augusta, Lisbon, as a way to celebrate two icons of Portuguese gastronomy: the codfish cake (pastel de bacalhau) and Queijo da Serra DOP (Serra cheese).

This duo, which combines two traditional flavours in a unique speciality – Pastel de Bacalhau com Queijo da Serra ® (a codfish cake with Serra cheese filling) – has teamed up with Port wine, forming a trio that promises a real “Portugal Experience”.
